Pollera KrakowHere we have another charming Old World confection, but in this case, the prices are more moderate than the current crop of designer hotels. Pollera is still in the hands of the family that owned it before the war, and they're seeking to return the flavour of those bygone years. Much of the elegant interiors have survived, including a fabulous turn of the century ballroom (now the main restaurant) and stained glass windows by Poland's best-loved artist, the Cracovian genius Stanislaw Wyspianski. Rooms are decidedly less expensive than many of the other hotels in this part of town where Pollera is located, all the more excuse to treat yourself around town. For best price deals... |
