Hotel's location between teh Market Place & the Castle can only be described as ideal. You can pretty much walk every in the Old Town

We purposely selected a low budget option when we went to Krakow. I have to say that the Jan Hotel was excellent, It's basically no frills but the hotel is quite, rooms are small but very clean and adequate. The location is excellent, we would never have found it but I let Freebookers search for us and they came up with the goods. We had to change the number of rooms and arrange transport before our visit and Freebookers did it all for us, I'll definitely be contacting them next time we go abroad

The rooms where nice, the breakfast was good. But there where 34C at our stay in Krakow and in some of the rooms the aircondition was out of order. So the kids in these room slept poorly. The hotel didn't mangae to fix it. And when we wanted a discount for the inconvinient the manager was wery unpleasant. In polish. But when the nightwatch came and could communicate with us in english we sorted it out in a way. But the argument was very loud and tempered and that really shouldn't be necesseary.

Well positioned and comfortable

Excellent central position, clean, very helpful staff, good breakfast, comfortable bed, quiet room facing courtyard. Minor niggles. Washbasin had no plug, tap delivered hot water only, shower inserted into weird contraption that may have been non-functional jacuzzi, but by west of Ireland standards nothing unusual at all, at all.

Friendly, spotlessly clean and comfortable enough for a short stay when you are out most of the time. Breakfast fine and plentiful. Location - the best.

very pleasant and helpfull staff. breakfast is o.k. At our arrival they had forgotten the pillows . The bedroom is o.k., the bed is bad. You get backache.

Fredrik Harbou-Hals 3rd May 2010

The service was excellent (helpful nice people) The floor in our room was dirty, and was never washed during our stay (5 nights). Bathroom, bed etc. OK. (I have to say that we did not complain). The breakfast could have been better, I would like to pay a higher room price to get a somewhat better breakfast.
